I do the same thing, the python is one of the best things I've ever purchased.Steve737;1015776; said:With my python. I have a 210 and it's easier than my 55.
Hook it up to the faucet outside, watch tv/tank for about 10-15 minutes, put adapter on kitchen sink, refill. I don't refill from the outside hose because the water is not even close to the tank temperature.
Much easier than syphoning the 55 into 5 gallon buckets and then refilling.
Just pump in dechlorinator huh.......Nah,i'd rather treat little bits of water at a time.........because at one point you'll have your WHOLE tanks volume of dechlorinator in at once,THEN chlorinated water STILL hits the fish.F' that dude.......even if i had a 500+ gallon tank i'd treat a 55 gallon drum then put in tank.cenecker;1015763; said:Well I don't have a tank that big but they way I make water changes quick and easy is -
I pump the water out with a big *** water pump (straight out the window to the back yard) and then refill with a hose (just pour some dechlorinator in first). Whole process is quick and easy i never have to lift a single five gallon bucket!
Nononononono,DRAIN 55g's at a time, then pump in 55g of treated water, not 55g's of dechlor.........BIGgourami;1015824; said:yeah 55 gallon storage bin filled with dechlor and then pumped in sounds pretty good to me.
