In a dream
Im looking for ideas for wet/dry/sump 75 gallons and over. So for those of you that have bigger sumps feel free to post your ideas or pictures.:D

Also have a question....been looking at premade wet/drys from various companys and why is it they have filters labeled for 200-300 gallons yet the the filter is so small?

Not that it is uniform for all manufacturers, but the numbers given, are the for the size tank it can handle, under normal stocking conditions...

If you are looking for a sump that will hold 75 gallons of water, while filtering, look for a sump size of 100-150 gallons.

This 90 gallon sump, needs 40 gallons of water in it to keep the pump wet. At power out mode it held an additional 25gallons from the overflows.
That is a 1000 SCRUBBIE stack 333 of them covered with water while in use.

Here is my 4x2x2 monster sump, it is a wet/wet and wet/dry.

Because you dont need a huge sump it is a wast of space. I run a 20 gallon tall with a Mag 18 on my 180 gallon tank and this is more than is needed.

All I have on my 220 is a 90g tank with milk crates stuffed with media and polishing pads and the overflows running into it, lol. The only problem is the polishing isn't wonderful because there's some bypass, so I'm gonna have to fix that.
