After gaining so much knowledge from this site, I am thankful to have found it and thank all the members for sharing all of their knowledge and input. Out of curiousity, I searched around looking up fish forums and found there is really nothing out there. I know MFK rocks, but is there any site out somewhat comparable to this?

If there is, I haven't found it. This site has taught me so much its ridiculous. Mfk rocks!:headbang2

i also like flowerhorncraze
sorry li
hahah

really depends on what you keep..some of the ones dedicated to specific fish are sweet like piranha fury

I feel the same. This site rocks for newbies like myself desperate to learn as much as possible about the hobby in the shortest period of time. I think it totally inappropriate to disclose exact names, but I am a member of other fish forums, and some have highly experienced fish-keepers with a tremendous knowledge base, but I always felt that there were too many condescending experts that I was never able to gain a comfort level to allow for an efficient quest for knowledge in my case!

Depends what you're into I guess. This is definitely one of the largest and most active forums out there but I feel like that's a a little artificially inflated since many of the members and posts are just oohing and aahing over other people's setups and fish. In terms of actual knowledge gained I think I've gotten more useful feedback and probably learned a more on some of the more specialized forums. I don't know if I'm allowed to post competitors, but a few that come to mind are the forums at

plantedtank
barrreport (loads of great information there)
loachesonline
cichlid-forum

and, even though I'm a freshwater guy I've learned a lot about plumbing and DIY on reefcentral.
