Not sure if any others of you are around here, but FYI... I just saw a nice 14-15" Polypterus and a foot-long black Piranha at Tropical World Pets on Watson in St. Louis and I thought of you all (awwww...).
They also have two HUGE (>200 I would guess) tanks with HUGE cichlids that are for sale - 8" oscars, some usually-little african that was about 10"... They seem like good folks, so I bet they'd work you a deal if you give them a call - 314.849.4020
