Right on. Cant wait till you guys decide to keep one long term.

awesome article! i would love to see the data of how far they would travel in one day, the deepest they traveled into the ocean, the furthest up toward the northern states they went and where they stay around when the temperatures drop in the ocean.

glad to see it released! :)

Glad to hear that - saw her a few weeks ago, and she just didn't look good in that tank. The previous great white looked a lot more active/healthy in the same tank. That said, this shark's swimming pattern regularly brought it very close to the glass, making for some amazing views.

Just my opinion, and love to see the MBA continue to try and keep these amazing sharks.

Orphans filled with drugs to slow the shark down.

Nice to see her going back

Nice job Melissa.

You guys wouldn't believe me if I told you how much of the ocean one of these guys will cover in a year's time.

Stretcher and a crane is standard for moving big aquatic animals in and out of exhibits.

Glad to see her released safe and healthy. Saw her last month and it was amazing. I never thought that I would be able to be that close to any Great White. Just read an article in the San Jose Mercury News about Great Whites venturing into the San Francisco Bay for brief amounts of time and the travel patterns of some local tagged sharks.

Here's the article for those interested:
