month 3 and 1/2

it has been maybe a little over 3 months that my lima shovelnose has not eaten. how the hell is he still living?!?!. AND YES IM SURE HE DOES NOT EAT cause i watch my fish eat til all the food is gone and he is the only one that does not eat. he use to eat like a beast. is it wrong if i trade him in a LFS i feel bad for him. maybe he needs a new home. my water is perfect and everything. i just dont know whats wrong with him. or if anyone is around colorado and would like to have him for free. PM me

Hi, mine did that, but not for 3 mnths. He wasn't eating at all, and i discovered that he was eating his own skin, when he shed it he was eating it up. BUT i gave him a mate, another Lima and now he eats like a pig. Try that.

A lot of catfish are nocturnal. After watching my Giraffe cat transform between night and day. They sit there all day but when the lights go off the barbels become rigid and watch out any food or small fish sleepin on the bottom.
Lima's can be a little timid but i'm sure he would be feeding at night
