Got this guy at 2" and was jet black for a couple weeks. Fast forward to today, and he's a bit like a chameleon, changing colors depending on mood.

From super dark and hungry...


To warpaint, on the prowl for food...


To light base, fat and happy...

Thanks Jibran. Truth be told, I was never going to get this fish. Thanks to UnstoppableJayD for putting on the pressure to add this guy to my Wes order, when all I really wanted was an albino Luciobarbus. He's quickly becoming my favorite amongst my collection. Now I regret not getting more.

Thanks Rich. It eats anything frozen: shrimp, tilapia, silversides and the occassional nightcrawler

Mine does too but it took a while for it to take them.I mostly give it raw shrimp and fish fillet,it ignores nightcrawlers.
