Moonlight in raytank

Hi, does anyone have a moonlight- lights in raytank. My friend build me a lightsystem with sun rise and set and it's sooo cool. He asked if I wanted to have moonlight at night but I don't know if it's good for the fish. Do they need a time in total dark or not? The sunrise works well, my rays are not so jumpy at breakfast anymore....

i think moon light is a great idea, in the wild they would be more likely to see moonlight than total darkness

Im am doing moonlight in my 2 180s I am putting together right now. I got a surge protecter that has a timer built in to transfer lights from the 2 daylight strip to the middle moon light strip. Awsome surge protector=$30, cheap florecent light strip=$20-30
