I put this in the setup forum because I believe these should be a part of every setup. I recently put 2 of the lunar link moonlights on my 29g pleco/growout tank, and i was the best purchase I have ever made. I turn the lights out in my room, turn the m oonlights on, and add sinking loach wafers and algae wafers to the tank. After about a minute, I started to witness a pleco/clown loach feeding frenzy. They all go for the pile of wafers, and everyone gets their share. It is a good way to see those skittish plecos/fish, that run from you when you approach the tank. Their eyes don't allow them to see the blue light, so you can watch hem but they can't see you. I would recommend this on any setup, especially ones with catfish and saltwater tanks. You'll be amazed at what you can see.

I think they are the best addition to a pleco tank you could add....except maybe another pleco:naughty:

Just got some. Have yet to set them up.

I use the R2 moonlights, however, the best method to seeing plecs is a varied diet of fresh veggies. The fish can see the blue light, but they aren't as on edge. The light mimics the moonlight, hence the name. Dependent on the species of fish, red or green may be the better color for the light. I found that nocturnal predators liked the green light more than the red.
