What are good tank mates for the Moorii (Blue Dolphin)? Know of any place to purchase these guys?

Moorii's are relatively peaceful.
I would say really any African cichlids would be good tank mates, just not Mbuna's.

I have a moori in a mixed african tank, hes the most laid back fish in the tank, but he can stand up for himself. As for were to get them, I found mine in the "mixed African" tank at my lfs, but recently ive been seeing alot of them at my local Walmart.
The dominant males tend to pick on the weaker fish but they are relatively peaceful But I agree that haps would be a great choice for tankmates!!
So you can get these fish at walmart and petsmart? They aren't a fish that I would need to order online?????
Probably not going to find any haplochromines at Walmart or Petsmart unless you find some oddball location. Probably going to have to order most of them on-line.
what I would do first is, figure out how far your willing to travel. Figure out where all the fish stores are at and start making phone calls, some fish stores specialize in African. If they don't have what you want, I sure they would probaly know were to get it. I don't trust ordering, I've had a very bad experience and IMO should be your last choice.
i have my dolphin in with some colorful peacocks right now. I have also kept him in with some of my haps , both ways worked out good. My dolphin was very slow growing compared to other similar species and my male is fairly aggressive, had to take it out and play musical tanks once it hit 4 inches to find a setup that worked ok for him. He was a chaser, never really harmed anything but would chase everything around and want to mate LOL. I got mine at petco last year, never saw any there again and wished i had bought more of them LOL. Not sure who would be good to order from online now, have not ordered for a long time...just be sure to pick one who has good reputation and where people say good things...
