Moray ID??? Is it the real deal?

Is this indeed the elusive Fangtooth Moray Enchelycore Anatina?

If I had to guess, I would say no.

The upper jaw looks different to me. This one has a typical moray mouth where as the Enchelycore Anatina has more of a hook near the end.

The jaw looks to me to be buch more similar to a whitemouth or Tessy then it does a Dragon.

Agreed that this thing doesn't really fit the typical shape of a hookjaw or fangtooth. It does have some really decent sized teeth for an eel of his size. The lil bugger's only about a foot long, girth of a pinky finger.

Bummer.

Sorry for the delay bro; I second the prionodon ID (and did on another forum) but looking closer the spots look a bit different... do you know where it came from?

Was told straight from Sri Lanka. But then again I was also told Anatina

I hate Moray IDs. There's so friggin many out there and so few of us are into them.

Definetly a cool eel. Very happy with it, even though it wasn't what I was sold, I knew that and am happy about pulling the trigger anyways.
