i have a gtile and hes been alone for a few months and i recently added a archer and when he sat by my eels liar my eel snapped his jaws a couple times like he was mad and scared the archer away he doesnt want to attack him tho he ignores him all day and gets fed krill wich i put right at the entrance to his liar but was just wondering if morays are territorial since i would also like to get a gymnothorax polyuranodon to the tank

I've noticed that G. tile seem to enjoy eachother's company. They tend to group up in the same tank. However, other morays can be aggressive to other species. G. polyuranodon seems to be closely enough related that I wouldn't forsee any problems unless you just got an angry eel. Even then, chances are it is just mad that it has been moved. Mine became really territorial once I added him into my tank.

Ps. Where did you find a G. polyuranodon?
