Has anyone notice how the silvers we have been keeping changes over the time? We use to have silver with clean look and got no reddish scales markings nor on the finages.

But recent years we have alot of these silvers with reddish marking. Thus making silvers a little more interesting to keep.

IMHO, I still prefer the old version. What's yours?

These are just 3 of my silvers. You will notice one of them is actually pretty different from the other 2.;)

We dun have this kinda branding for this kinda silver here in singapore. Infact all are just sold as silver.

As you know, arowana are creatures which will blend with their enviroment. Even when I kept mine in white tank, the redness still retain pretty much. So imagin when I have them in a black tank.;)

Yah. Infact I like that less colourful one. The reddish looking one are far too common nowadays.

the small silver i had 5 years ago or so was a lot more silver than the one i just lost and both were pretty similar in size.

Id prefer the older ones... There is this guy that lives near my place, he got his silvers form the US... He has had them for about 10 years.. They look awsome.. No DE or anything... They seem to be as aggressive as a Jar...

From what I understand, they're breeding silvers heavily in Thailand. Maybe has something to do with it?

Everywhere silvers are bred in mass.;)
