Hi y'all!

I have a 85 gallon tank with quite a few fish at the moment. The fish are not fully grown yet but I would like to add several more to the tank then buy a bigger one.

It's being filtered by 2 AC 70's and 1 AC 110. They all have sponges and the 110 has 2 bags of the bio media and the 70's have 1 bag each. A was wondering if I doubled the amount of bio media, could I add a few more fish?

So far everybody is getting along and it happy.

Thanks

Aren't you running our of room on your tank for another HOB....sell the 2 AC70's and get a nice large canister or build a w/d...:headbang2

the amount of fish you add to the tank should be decided on the amount of space and types of fish you are putting in it, not the amount of media. your still going to have the bigger load on your filtration system, it just might help with a day or 2 of cleaning space.

Here are the fish I have:

3 bala sharks(2" each)
2 severum's (2" and 7")
2 kissing gouramies(2.5" each)
9 silver dollas(4-7")
1 leporinus(8")
1 walking catfish (10")

I want to add:
Sun catfish
Kissing Gourami
False gar of some sort(maybe)
Any impusle fish(small when bought)

This tank is a grow out. I will be moving them into a 180G or larger and use the tank their in now as a snake cage.

I had a bad experience with a canisters filter and I don't know what HOB means.

Thanks

HOB=Hang on back....my two cents a very limited beginers filter.
