To me looks like a male with a shorter face in the first pic. 2nd pic has a more longer face so I’m guessing female. Im not 100% sure hence I tagged duanes cause he’s had them before.

A steeper profile is usually a male trait

Females often present a more prominent dark blotch in the dorsal, but it can come and go with spawning readiness
A very young female below showing the dark blotch and gentile slope of the profile

Even at only 1" the males steeper profile is much more defined than the females
