More Dovii Pics...

Bored and haven't posted in a while. Here's some pics of my Dovii's.

Male when I got him at 3".

Him and his mate a few months later..

A little over a year later and after numberous spawns...

Yes sir! He's doing well and I hope he gets as big.

how does the pair get along? it seems often that the females are usually more aggressive towards males than the other way around from what ive seen and read.
i think thats why the majority of dovii pairs have very strong bonds

The pair gets along great. As a matter of fact, I thought about taking the female out since they spawn every month and a half or so. The one time I pulled her out, he swam around pouting and seemed to be all sad. I couldn't help it but to put her back in and they've been together since. The two go back and forth with their agression, but it never gets any worst than a few cracked/split fins. She does seem to get into a PMS mode every now and then and smacks him. LOL

They are really nice fish, great pics, it was good to see the size as they grew. Always fancied a dovi

Haven't measured him, but I would guess 12-13" (rough gauge using a sheet of paper).
