hey everyone i was thinking of adding more filtration to my 100 gal... right now it has two eheim pro II 2028. if i add some more filtration it will mainly be for mechanical/chemical. any ideas?

cheap and easy would be a ac110 or two, or you could throw a wet/dry on it, or you could add another canister.

maybe an OHF if you dont mind the way they look. thats the main thing that turns people about of these filters, but they work great and are pretty darn easy to DIY. not to mention, you dont have to worry about it draining your tank during power outages.

lol yeah... the w/d will be made out of a smaller rubber maid storage container... so it should fit... any ideas how i should make it?

OHF= over head filter they can look good but ussually people don't put forward the effort. sasically build it into your Canopy and dress it up a bit so it looks nice.
agreed. you can either take the time to make it look good, and look like part of the tank, or you could always just hide it. even if you dont build it into your canopy, or if you dont have a canopy. 3 pieces of plywood will make a simple cover fot it and youll never notice its there.greengiant;2714952; said:
the picture posted is kind of a ghetto version, so you could see what it is. basically its an above tank sump that drains back into the tank.
another version i found on this forum with a wooden enclosure. cant even tell its a filter with the top closed.
