so i have a NGT in my 100 gallon, i love him to death but he never comes out to show off, only at feeding time, and was wondering what could bring him out more?

all the big dat communities i see have lots of happy dats swimming around, whereas mine just sits on the bottom all day untill 8:00 when like clockwork he comes out to beg. so when i a group do they become less shy? if i was to get say a thinbar and a silver to keep him company would he be more active?

any other suggestions as to how to coax him into being more freindly?

remove all the hideing places and dont feed him for a few days

i thought ngts were only intolerably agressive to other ngts and were fine with other dats?

all tigers of all types will fight

my NGT rules the tank they are not so bad when small under 8inch but fro 8inch on they are agressive

if you dont like to see your fish fighting then forget tigers as their will always be some kind of fighting going on

I also have an NGT in a 100g. (6ft) Also in there with him are a silver, a thinbar, 2 indos and 2 widebars. All range from 4-6inches. He is way more social now that there are more dats in the tank with him. Also the bigger they are, the more they will be comfortable in the open.

My tigers are much more active now that they are in a group.

There isn't a lot of fighting. Just the occasional nip and chase across the tank.
