More pics of my festae... I'm thinking it's male, but sometimes i'm not sure. Would appreciate some input because I'd like to buy a mate for him or her.

yeah, i agree with female. there are a few blue spangles but the female I used to have had blue spangles as well when she was young but they disappeared as she got bigger. with no other festae around a male is very unlikely to be showing bars like that.
Looks like my females, especially the dominant one when she cozies up to the male. You have a nice fish.

sometimes this fish looks male and sometimes female. it seems to get more bright red when mad and stays red most of the time like in the pic. but a lot of times it changes color like in the pic i have in that previous link. the fish is almost 4.5 inches right now. i wish i could know what it is because i want to buy a mate.
