I really hope you are right,i like all my fish HUGE!!This Pike is really the calmest Pike i have ever owned, and he even eats Cichlid pellets!!

When he is chillin out he does show that body length stripe, but if you can notice in the 1st pic he has somewhat of a red to pink spot on his side, does this matter??

Me right :)

You said it was 6''-7'' right ?

If so i don't think a SP.venezuella they usually don't chang there colors to look like that till there a little older and the other pics made me think johanna i could be wrong thogh

Definitely not a Johanna, I could be wrong about Ven, but I don't think so.
Here is a picture of a Johanna, they have the tell tale lateral stripe. Different
variants might have more or less color. But the lateral stripe is a dead give away.

Yes,the fish is 7",he does have the laterial line down his body,he also has an eye spot at the base of his tail(not on his tail). He does seem to change his colors every now and then.He is a great eater and hasnt bothered any of his tankmates(so far).I have noticed that in the morning when i 1st put the lights on in the tank the fishes reddish/pink spot on his side is really bright, but seems to fade as the day goes on(really wierd).
