This isn't exactly the right place since I'm not doing a DIY tank... but I could use the advice from those of you that do builds.

I bought an Oceanic Biocube off of eBay and it got broken in shipping. The bottom/floor piece of glass cracked and broke in the corner (see photo below). I was considering pulling out the loose pieces of glass and using a sealant to go over the area that's now missing the glass. And possibly the entire bottom, to try and salvage something out of this tank.

Is this a feasible idea? Or do you have any other possible ideas for a repair? Because truthfully, it seems a waste not to try something. I have to file a claim that will only get me part of my money back, and the rest of the tank is still operational and in great shape (the shipper was just stupid enough to put the power cords unwrapped and loose inside the tank (that's what caused the break).

That's a nasty place for a crack. Can you remove the debris and post up another picture of the damage?

You could patch it with a new panel. That would be an easy way to fix it.

yes going with a new panel would be best. Doesn't look like that tank holds a whole lot of water, that is until that water is all over your floor.
