So I got to thinking today I am getting my 120 this weekend and realized that i might need more support under my house in the area im puttin the tank as far as I know there's just wood. What can I put under the house for more support?
Thanks

What kind of wood? Spaced how far apart? Tank running parallel or perpendicular to the joists? Close to the load bearing wall or far from it?

You've provided us basically no info. A 120 should be fine, but we can't know for sure without the details.

What is the footprint of the 120g tank? Will you be placing the tank so it is running parallel or perpendicular to the floor joists?

If you have your tank running at a right angle to the floor beams and near a exterior wall, you will not have a single thing to worry about

If you want to re enforce the floor just to be safe, a simple pair of correct installed supports will do the trick. I did this in my house by making a small 3’ load barring frame/wall using paired up 2X4s running directly from below the tank right down to the basement floor.

I'm assuming this tank is either 4x2, 60x18 or maybe its a 125 and 72x18. Either way, your floor's not going to fall through if its not supported. EIther place the tank perpendicular to your joists or add support as mention. Either way, if you fill your tank up and it falls through the floor, you have some other problems. Again, this is monsterfishkeepers, so you may want poor a concrete slab and hire some illegal mexicans to stand guard just in case.

I have two floor jacks in the crawl space under my 5' 120, a cinder block brace under my 90, and two floor jacks and a cinder block brace under my 220.

Maybe they aren't necessary, but it provides peace of mind. As a home owner, I feel that about $200 and a couple of hours work is a smart investment.

I have no idea never been under my house before lol my house is about 60 years old though. Im gonna have my handyman come out and take a look this weekend. The tank is 60L 24W and 24T.

if your worried listen to the creepyoldguy: just get insurance... i'm in the military so it's discounted from geico heavily but im sure it's cheap anyway.... btw i have a 140 gallons with 150lbs of sand and heavy drift on a 2nd floor apartment, it's on an outside wall going across the joists.... just make sure tank is level when you set it up and you'll be fine!! also i have talked to people who have kept 180 gallons on second floors for years with no sag.... and sag is what your worrying about, the tank will never, ever fall through the floor unless your house was built in a 3rd world country or by idiotic carpenters...
