I swear he is growing before my very eyes! He came out 3/16 at around 16" and now, 5/16 he is around 22"-24" :WHOA:. Expect a cage building thread very soon :D.

He's fat, lazy, and eats like a black hole. It's like taking care of myself.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!

beautiful...

Mine grew 20" in 8 months... He put on quite literally 1.25" per week for a few weeks in the middle of that...

So far this season it's been more of a plumping thing than a length thing. He's really bulking up.

Great animals!

Are you sure about the gender of yours? I thought mine was a female until it was 1.5 years old :P

Did you get yours from Bobby? He sexed mine and said it was male and apparently he is pretty acurate with it. He is forming alot of neck fat so hopefully jowels will form soon and I will know for sure. It really dosen't matter all that much to me though.

@Davo-thanks, they are great pets, very laid back once you get them to realize your not a monster. They just eat so darn much.

Yup, mines an '08 Varnyard male...

I bought a male & a female but one escaped in my fishroom never to be found. I assume it made it's way outside. Therefore I didn't know the sex of my remaining Tegu.

I've never heard anyone say they bought a sexed Tegu from Bobby and Bobby be wrong about gender... and I've heard quite a few examples of him being correct. I think you are safe to assume he is correct.
