I am getting a tig this week and they are probably my favorite fw fish. The local store has some too about the same size. Who has done more than one? The store has 3 8-9" in a 50g togther no probs but they grew from 4" together. Think I can get away putting 2 together?

I've seen members on here with multiple tigs together. Some guy had several that were up to 20+" in the same tank, but mysteriously two died, and one survived I think. You'll need larger than a 50g which I assume you already know! Good luck.

I've heard from other members that Jur and tig are ok together so long as they don't cross paths very often. Other wise they tag each other from time to time!

I'd be careful with 2 tigs and 2 juruense in a 180, thats a pretty big tank but with 4 shovelnose specie like that they will a) easily out grow it b) tigs/juruense have been known to be territorial towards their same species sometimes and they are the exact same body structure and have similar needs. If it was me, I'd stick with 1 of each and maybe get a different pimeloid instead of another tig or juruense. I've had great luck with my tig, planiceps, lima, and tsn all in my 240 and just recently am moving some of them out because of space but never had any aggression amongst them and have kept them from 2" up to the biggest being the TSN at almost 20" now

these are territorial fish, and may squabble over it's personal space (usually the hidding spot). therefor, you must have enough space for each one to rest peacefully away from each other.

other than that, no serious harm should occurr.
