Hey,i'm writting to you just to tell u my sad news..

Yesterday, after a 6month search,i found the only chihla temensis (peackok bass) there was in Greece. No shop brings this fish here cause of it's size..no one wants it..the one that i found, was special order from Amazon Exotic..

I did my best to take the fish in my own..

I took it and i was so stupid to belive that a 60 cm RTC will never made it to cauch a 20 cm fast and nervous pbass..

The fish after 3 hours in the tank, unfortunatly ended in RTC's mouth, with the half of his tail out.

I'm so sad today,i'll never have a pbass in my own...:(:(:(

Never put something smaller than your RTC in your tanks...

We know that. Sorry for our loss, but yes, believe it or not, RTC's are fast swimmers. Hope next time around when you get more bass, grow them out first.

yes of course we know that this fish will eat anything that fits in his mouth...
but personally i didn't know that is a better swimmer from a pbass..cause of his big size..
:irked:
from the pics you may anderstand the size of the two fish:
the pbass wsn't so small, but the RTC is 3 times bigger...

my recommendation is never get a RTC.. they are notorious for eating any fish, even reports of fish slightly small than their own size.. BY 2 inches..

Sorry to hear ur lost.. :(

Sorry for the loss :( I'm surprised the rtc tolerates that featherfin catfish in the background.
