so i have 2 fish that need to be grown out before they get in my big tank. one is a 5-6 inch Tiger Shovelnose.
The Other is a 2 1/2-3 inch baby p bass.
now common sense tells me that the tsn can eat him because he can fit in his mouth BUT what r the chances of him catching the P bass? the p bass is quick when he dances around the tank for feeders and the foot print of the tank isnt that bit. plus he's a bottom dweller. the tank is taller and a lil wider than it is long. kinda shaped like a cube. what are your thoughts and suggestions?
both definately need to be grown out b4 introducing them to the community or both will be P BASS food!

I don't think its worth the risk. If he eats them your out money and effort. Just invest in a divider.

the TSN can and will shove anything he can get into his mouth. They are quicker than they look. The Pbass will not stand a chance. I would not do it.

all catfish, and especially shovelnoses are good at biding their time till one day boom, you see a mouth and tail sticking out. the are deceptively quick and that pbass speed advantage disappears at night when the cat takes over. i'd be wary but keeping it well fed will increase your chances
