I woke up this morning to find 2 pups (male / female) in my Motoro Ray tank. I figured the female was pregnant as I saw signs of movement back in July, but have not seen any movement lately and was wondering if she still had pups. Also, I would only see movement on one side of her but both sides were evenly humped. The interesting thing is I fed last night and there were no signs of her about to have pups. She ate like she always did and swam around the bottom normally - no stopping of eating or swimming around the tank or at the surface like others have mentioned before their rays having pups. The male was his usual dosile self as well. Mom and dad didn't bother the pups other than swim over them, pause to check them out and then moved on.

Here are pics / video of Mom, dad, & pups. Dad is the one with larger / brighter spots. I'm looking for a female with similar spotting if anyone knows of one.

Thanks.

The male pup has the bigger spots and looks like he may turn into the tripple spot pattern like his dad (see vid). Female pup I'm not sure about. This is the first litter for this pair. They are very dosile and get along great. I didn't even know the female was pregnant until I saw movement as the male didn't do any damage. I can't tell If they mated again last night after birth, as the female has no signs of damage by the male. I have a 24" Chili Red Arowana in with the pair and he never showed any interest in the pups either. Male is 4 years old, female 1 1/2.

In the vid, they look like normal motoro.
Don't see any triple spots.
Pups look nice and healthy
