I got a ten inch fh lastnight. I had a old 75 gallon set up for him as a temporary home. There was some texas holey rock piled up in the tank. I woke up this morning to check on my fh. He had broken the tank! Water level was high enough for him to breathe. And it appeared to have happened very recently as water was still dripping out. He plowed the rocks into the side pane and somehow managed to crack it. So stressful this fishkeeping has turned into. I had no big tanks to put him in. Im not gonna toss him in the aro tank bc he will prolly kill my asian aro. So a hour before i leave for work i set up a rubbermaid tub a sponge filter and a heater. Im at a loss what to do now. I, getting a indoor pond delivered this week but im not sure if he will get along with the rays. Looks like im tank shopping tonight!(im trying to decrease my tanks not increase them)My wife is gonna trip! when i drop a few more bills on fish stuff! When does my hobby turn relaxing again? Between my sick aro and a rowdy fh I feel like its causing me alot of stress.

Thanks pi eyed! All day at work I kept thinking about this beautiful new flowerhorn stuck in a 15 gallon rubbermaid at home. So as soon as I got off work I went to sprawlmart and grabbed the largest rubbermaid tub I could find! And its pretty darn big 117cm by 60 by 45cms. Now he is ina darn near acceptable temporary home. He can swim around and stretch his very long fins. I feel better as he will only have to live there for 4 days max. Its got a heater, a sponge filter and a extra airstone. Water has been testing fine since the incident.
