Great site. I was researching details of a DIY project and when I found this this place; I've been reading it for a couple of days now.
The scale of the aquaria some of you guys are running is staggering. I myself keep an Asian Arowana [grade 2 red] called, embarrassingly enough, Big One. Named by my son. (not as bizarre as the rabbit which he named House for some reason) Its actually my sons fish but hes only 3 at the moment, so I help a little
Ill post some pictures of the tank in my gallery when I can figure out how it works.
Im a big fan of DIY as my long suffering wife would tell you (if she wasnt too tired of hearing about fish to come to a fish forum that is). Its good to see how keen you guys are for DIY projects as well. I thought the continuous drip water changer Ive been running since last year , was pretty cutting edge stuff till I read a few threads in your DIY forum and found there are people here whove been running them for years; I guess theres always someone whos already doing of it
Im making an indoor nano (or possibly micro, depending on perspective) pond for the Arrowana (5x2.5x2 feet), with a glass lid, the details of which Ill post in the DIY forum soon.
Read y all soon, Im sure it will be an education.
