I have a snowflake morray thats around 20", I currently feed him 5 to 10 shrimp daily. I use uncooked store bought frozen shrimp, the kind for shrimp cocktail, I defrost and just toss em in the tank. Aside from that he eats occasional krill or crickets left over from my archers any thing else I should include in his diet? What do you feed your eel/ other brackish predators?

You wanna try to vary his diet a bit.

Krill, prawn, silver sides, market shrimp are all great. I even feed mine live small crayfish every now and then because he likes to hunt.

You can try shrimp pellets and carnivore pellets, but I know mine doesn't go for them.

Human seafood mix works great for variety. I get it from the grocery store next to shrimp and smelt. I just alternate the mix one day, shrimp the next, smelt. They seem to like smelt the best but the scats and monos make a friggin mess of it.

Definetly lots of crays from the wild when it isn't friggin frozen here.

Mine eat chiclid pellets too if they are really hungry.

I've also found that keeping a small group as opposed to one makes these things act like a completely different animal. They go from shy and timid, hiding all the time to absolutly NO fingers in the tank. At feeding times my group of 3 actually troll the topwater with their heads breaking the surface looking for food. They NEVER acted this aggressive towards food when kept singly.
