My bedroom seemed to attract mosquitos so i put a small dull blue light in the top of my tank to attract the mosquitos so the fish could eat them and i am wondering if they are harmless to my fish:ROFL:

There are tons of gambusias in all the canals in south florida, I use them to feed my fish, I love the food chain lol

I've fed mosquito larvae to my fish before. Only some of them would eat them - killifish, tiger barbs and some tetras. Most of my larger fish ignored them.

Generally, aquariums have too much circulation for the mosquitos to want to lay their eggs there, so I used to instead leave out a cup of stagnant water out and then dump it in to the aquarium whenever I found larvae in it.

Also, mosquitos generally aren't attracted by light, so that part of your plan may not accomplish much. The warmth and humidity of the tank should attract them though.
