Has anyone tried putting moss ball in flowerhorn tank? It might be good thing for fish to play with and reduce nitrates? Or will fish just destroy it?

I run two balls in my FH tank. He does tend to kick them about but I get a good 8 weeks use out of them before they collapse. Just check their integrity when you do a water change they can be a twat to cleanup when they fall apart

That's not too bad.

I'd grow pothos outside the tank if you wanna reduce nitrates without replacing it every few weeks ;)

Hed have to protect the roots as the fh would probably destroy them. I found a funny fh video a while back of one pulling pothos into the tank and shredding it. Those fish are so funny. I may some day decide I'd like a cichlid wet pet, but I think id go mbu before I did a large cichlid again.
