Nope, moss also provides as nesting place for some fishes.

Fully aquatic moss or tree moss?

Are you buying or relocating it from a pond/river/creek?

What kind of fish?

Should be fine, check with your local laws about taking plants from water features. Also make sure to wash it and possibly even quarantine the plant, you don't know whats in those waters.

I just grab river rocks, stones, and even driftwood that has moss growing on it from the lakes and rivers around here, give it a good rinse, and put it in the tanks. Given the right conditions, it will flourish in your tanks as well. Great way of making it look natural, giving some fish something to eat, and just awesome all around! GO FER IT!
