Most Aggressive

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's a roll of the dice, Just because a certain specie of piranha is said to be aggressive doesn't necessarily mean that yours will be, it's up to the individual fish. With that said Rhombeus and Elongatus are said to be the two most aggressive. Keep in mind that it may take upwards of a year for a serra to come out of it's shell...so have patience. ;)

I had a gold that hid all day every day for around nine months. He would only come out to eat when the lights were out and nobody was in sight. Right when I started to lose absolute total intrest and the only reason that I still had him was because of me too lazy to get a new fish....He DRASTICALLY came out of his shell. Became an extreme finger chaser snapping at the glass. One occasion, I sat there letting him chase my finger for literally 15 minutes, without stopping. That fish was bad.

Dude if your fish is a pussy give him steriods and he'll turn into an insane super badass fish!! LOL

Damn SW is up for funny man of the year at MFK.... :thumbsdow

Tango is right. Give your fish time. I had a similiar experience with my Mac. For like the first 3 months was totally boring and this was after the guy I bought him from told me he was a bad ass... Any way he just came out. Now he is a crazy ass finger chaser, python attacker, and hand feeder! :headbang2

I used to have a rhom that was very shy at first. Over time he settled down and even ate in front of people. Eventually he would comeup to the glass and beg for food. Just him more time to become acustomed to his surroundings.

time should solve the problem, but the most would say the most aggressive piranha is the irritans. they are hard to get though. but on the plus side they only get to be about 7-8" not 20" like rhombeus. so much more managealble size.

ive had ps that never turned aggressive- ive had caribes and mannys that were pussies-then again ive had regular reds that were thugged out its all in luck for the most part

the only agressive piranha are the red bellies and the black piranhas.

my reds were thugs if you were another fish, but if you walked by their tank when the lights were on, they couldnt hide fast enough. They say rb's get their nerve in numbers, i had 7 in a 55g and they never even thought about going after my hand when cleaning the tank.
