What speices of Pbass is the most rare or most expeinsive?? I am guessing this goes to the tems? I know this will also vary by location, but what is the going rate for pbass right now where you are?? I have 2 orinos and 2 monos at my LFS right now. The orinos are 3" and about $20 and the mono's are about 6-7" and $30. I really want one of the monos badly, and I think this is a good price even though they seem to be the most commonly found.
Thanks,

I would think one of these would be the most rare

intermedia
azul
pinima
xingu
etc..
etc..

Of the ones that are/have been available in the US, I'd say it's:
Intermedia
xingu
azul
24k type mono
pinima
As the top 5. But there are so many different kinds who can tell. Those are very decent prices for those fish. If you're considering it and have got the tank space you should do it. Tems are very close to the most common side of the list. Maybe only suprassed by monocs.

Fogo is at the top of the list. It has yet to be imported into the U.S. and very few specimens reside in Japan.

yeah, sorry I was thinking of the intermedia's, not tems. I forgot about the azuls too!!

but anyway, I really want one of the mono's and have a tank for him....considering it, but I would have to get him off of live ASAP as we dont feed any of our fish live anymore...I think Dieselmack's method shouldnt be a problem though...Are pbass pretty docile with tankmates?

For the most part, especially since mono is a more docile species of pbass, and you're only getting one. Pbass in groups esp. more aggressive species like azuls/orino even tems tend to be more pushy.

no doubt fogo is at the top of the list, if you have ever heard of them you know why there at the top, next is intermedia and zullies

never heard of them, but just foud a thread abouth them....where do these guys come from?? They are really awesome in colors! That is one thing I like about the monos there...the colors, where as the orinos are lacking in that dept.

I think you're backwards there too. Although I don't think that monocs, at least with some size, are lacking color, they've just got a little less than orinos. I didn't include the fogo in my list since they're not available here.
