Are any of the parachromis species more or less aggressive than the others? I may be looking into getting a large-ish cichlid for a 75, but it would have to share the tank with a delhezi bichir and maybe a featherfin synodontis. Managuense and dovii I think are out of the question, but what about the others?

I have all but the dovii and they tolerate the Synodontis eupterus (featherfin) just fine. I don't know about bichirs though. I'll let someone with more experience speak on that. But my Parachromis(es) have been especially tolerable of tankmates, same species or otherwise. I think it will largely depend on the individual fishes' temperament. But, a dovii is probably out for sure.:grinno:

i have owned them all except loiselli, dovii and mota are the meanest imo, my male rtm has killed a couple cats

a little off subject but what is the smallest growing

My female loiselli has been stuck at around 7" for a while now. She's been breeding though, that may have something to do with it. The male loiselli is right around 12". He's getting thicker, but not much longer. Same thing with my male freddy. I haven't had the male and female mota long enough, they're still at 8" (male) and 7" (female).

should I just have started a thread asking if any parachromis might get along with bottom-dwellers?
