i havent seen any thread like this before so i thought id make one!

this is where you show off your most overly filtered tanks! and i thought this would be appropriate because of the setup and filtration each overly filtered tank has. so post away of all your monsterized filtration! and pics welcome!

Here is a 55 gallon tank I made into a sump.
I went a little crazy with the biological filtration......

It's hooked up to a 300 gallon. (work in progress)

It might not look like a large sump compared to the tank, but considering the
amount of biological, it is pretty well filtered.

thats pretty sweet... the coloration adds a nice touch lol... got anything to cut off the flow if the power goes out or the pump dies? if u dont then theres a potential 245 gallons of water on the floor  and youll be like :nilly: for weeks trying to clean it all up

ill post my 55 gallon black saddled toby (puffer) tank when all the filtration is hooked up (55g power filter - eheim classic 66g canister - 100g protein skimmer - 20 or so gallon sump - and a powerhead with a prefilter)

Yeah, I realized that just as I was screwing on the lockline.
I drilled a small hole at the top of the lockline, so I'm good now. :D

You like the colors? lol I try, I try. Notice they all are uniform all the way across...
Also, the water is green form tannins in my 240 gallon.

good catch... i cant drill my tank so ill just attatch some suction cups to pvc running over the back and into the sump so that if the power goes out the siphon running to the sump will run out before the sump overflows (hopefully if i judge right)

It's probably going to be a breeder/growout tank for SRT.

Or I might use it to grow out snook/trimac hybrids.
