So whats the most Vicious eater you have, or have seen. I never thought of fish as vicious eaters until I got my snow flake eel. I mean sure my Oscar has bit off another head, or just swallows whole. This eel is vicious like a Nile Monitor, she grabs the food and thrashes it around ties her body into knots, and smashes the shrimp into the rocks; I would hate to see her eat live food.

Couple of fish I have one the Goliath Tiger fish sometimes if the feeders to big he will bite it in halve eat one side then go back and eat the other side. My Marble Lungfish when it eats it coats the food with some slime and moves it in and out of its mouth. I don't know what this slime is maybe its a flesh dissolving slime of some sort. Oscars are fun to watch eat feeders they are pigs! will try to eat more then they can swallow at once. They keep filling there mouths with so many feeders there sticking out and some will get away. Same with Peacock bass they'll keep grabbing feeders till there mouth is overflowing with them.

oh man that makes my lol that describes my Oscar. I wanted my other fish to get a treat so I thought I would trick the Oscar. I dump the food in the tank he filled his mouth until it was bulged out, I then dropped in the shrimp for my other fish. The Oscar spit out all the food in a nasty cloud, and then like a stinger missle swooped in and at 2 whole shrimp in one bit and couldn't get it all in his mouth.

Mine is, suprisingly enough, cave tetras. i have 5 in a 50 with some juvie D. Compressiceps that are almost an inch longer and these tetras still alarm them after the first night. During the day they are pretty dull, swim around and when food hits the water they swim in circles trying to find it. For some reason though, when the light goes off they become absolutely evil. it must be that the other fish with eyes get stressed or something during lights out but when i turn the light off they all gang up on one designated target and do constant hit and runs on him until the light turns on. They killed an entire school of 6 barilius danios that were twice their size in this manner about 3 months ago so I got something that would not just run off but dish back. they'll also attack pretty much anything entering the water. If their dentiton rivaled pirahnas i'd need phostetic arms and an iron siphon.

The most vicious eaters I have ever seen were my Dovi's, Mags, and Wolf fish.

Snakeheads....hands down.
