This morning I noticed my female rubbing around the slate this morning so I had a feeling she was gonna lay some eggs. Hour later and I have this!

(Sorry for rubbish phone pics, will get decent ones soon!)

With their current tank mates I don't have much hope for survivors, but if I know they can breed together then I shall get a separate tank for them

Any advice on these guys as I have never had a breeding pair of fish before!

if you want them to breed, keep doing what you are doing: regular water changes and a varied diet. Also good to have dither fishes or other fishes around as well to steer some of the attention from the female. If you want to save some of the fry keep them in the tank until they are freel swimming(about a week is good) then transfer them to their own tank. Use the same water from the parents tank or just transfer the parents and other fishes to a different tank..up to you. I hope this helps. You can start feeding the frys baby brine or fry food you can find at petsmart (forgot the name, it says fry food).

The males only been in there about 5 days and the female for a couple of weeks. Unfortunatly the eggs got eaten up by my jag! :(

Oh wells, at least I know they are a breeding pair and I can get them in there own tank.

Oh and thanks for the advice ceejayt2k, shall be noted for the next batch!
