mother and fry

When is the best time to remove the mother after the fry emerge? She is in a my 15 gallon hospital tank with a bare bottom, air stone, heater and a type of a tunnel. Looks like she will give birh within the next couple days. The fish is a cross between a parrot and a convict. Any well with be appreciated.

Convicts and parrot fish are egglayers. They don't give birth to live young.

Is there a male in the aquarium as well? If not then the eggs will be infertile and will not hatch.

COnvict do not give birth..........They lay eggs on a flat peice of substrate.............Females have rwed bellies, while the males are regular color, if good quality, they will posses a bump on their head singnifying they are strong.......
