When I got home from work today, my 3 1/2 year old daughter couldn't wait to show me the new "waterbug" she had in her critter keeper. It was actually a big fat June Bug. "Good" I thought "lots of stuff to feed the fish will be around soon". I left the back patio light on and just fed 4 fat Junebugs to my warmouth and longear sunfish. They show up pretty early down here, and hang out till around mid July... Lots of them.

That had to be fun to watch! Lots of protein in those.

Yes it has, i actually got some crawfish out of the creek yesterday for the puffer. No minnows yet though:(

Don't you worry about your fish getting anything, like parasites or something, from the junebugs?
What you should worry about is pesticides. Worry the parasites if you're feeding aquatic creatures coming from the ponds where fish dwell.
