Here's a video of BB (my momma dempsey) teaching her fry... They mimic her and follow her evry move

Watching them grow is an amazing experience... From wigglers, the mother picking them up evr so gently and moving them to a new spot. To free swimming and mom chasing stragglers down and bring them back to the swarm, chewing up and spitting out food for them... Once they get to a coupkle months moms teaching them swimming techniques or whatever she's doing.... they mimic... Her color changing all the time and theirs is just coming in.. Next time I will document it more and take a more scientific approach.. measurments, and growthrates, etc..
 
Good looking JD! but the little ones in that video should be moved soon(or the mother should be moved soon) they're getting pretty big

The mother will return to the 125 gal with the male and other stock within the next few days... I made a seperator for the 125 out of plexy glass by measuring cutting and drilling some holes... It works beautiful.. And maybe the fun will start all over again or maybe it'll wait. Only time will tell... I also have a mated pair of discus Im waiting to spawn.. They're taking their time... But soon i will grab another male EBJD and try for those babies too...
