I have experience with female motoros and at the time have one with a 8 inch disk. I have never kept males before and currently have one I am raising in a seperate tank. His disk is about 4/4.5 inches. I would like to move them together and will be setting up a 500 gal indoor pond in December.
Will the female pose any threat to the smaller younger male? and if so, at what sizes should they be safe to house together? I intend to add another 1-2 females to the mix within the next year or so and accommodate their growth with a larger pond when the time comes.
