Hello everyone,

My motoro gave birth to 3 pups last week. I could capture soms nice pics during birth and one action video just before she gave birth:

It was a bit to dark to videotape birth because it was during nightlight so I took these pics with flash:

This is the action video just before she gave birth. Look at the male chasing the female, the female blowing up like a baloon and listen to the cichla hitting the covers:

Hope you guys enjoy.

congrats on the pups

Congrats, your tank looks huge, how big is it.

WOW those are some great pix... Great job

Thanks for the replies guys,

@Alex: My tank is only 200g, it might look huge because my stingrays are only 14" (female) and 10" (male). I'm planning a 300g with the 200g underneath later on this year.

During the mating the male got injured badly (see next pic), but he's healing well. He's swimming around all day and eating well, so I don't worry to much at the moment.

Injury:

Next is a picture of the male. I'm not saying this because he's mine, but he's one of the most beautifull "ordinary" motoro's I've ever seen.

And as last but not least a picture of my female during pregnancy:

My breeding pair of motoros are tiny, the female is 11.5". They have bred 3 times, and i can now see more pups in her belly. Love that male. Good luck with the pups and hope all goes well in the future.
