I would do a substrate for a pup. Being able to bury themselves in the sand seems to give them a sense of security.
Showing up today maybe I ordered a female wild caught but the owner of my lfs when he tried to order was out. So without my permission he ordered a captive bred one so I don't know if I want it.

Its a motoro, Captive will probably eat easier for you and be good disease free. As long as it has great markings I would say go for it. Captive or wild wont matter. The amount of spots is what I would be looking for when buying a motoro.

Mistake number 1 wanting a wild caught ray over a captive bred
Males also stay smaller and also seam to settle in faster than females
But not read the whole tread so must be a reason you wanted a female rather than a male
