Motoro grow speed?

hey mfk,
I have a motoro pup in a 125 (planning to upgrade) but he has not grown in 6 months... he seems healthy and happy and i did my research but he has onlyy grown 1/2 to maybe a full inch... the only thing i can think of is the 125 being to small (in wich case i need to upgrade asap). but he has plenty of room. is it normal for a motoro to grow this slow?
 
yeah males are very slow growers, if they are eating good and the water param's are good, then hes fine
 
he is eating a jumbo shrimp every other day, and then he get earthworms on the days he does not get shrimp, so im guessing im good, thanks a lot guys!
 
i would see if you were underfeeding. try putting more food in with each feeding as smaller rays need to eat more. put food in until it wont eat anymore then net out the rest and soon you will know excatily how much to use.

also its 6 months so it should be getting bigger but if its under 6" i would feed twice a day.

For pups, I'd even go to three times a day feedings (small amounts). It allows them time to digest the food properly. As young, they are constantly picking at little things to eat in the wild. It's best to replicate that.
