I was just curious if there is a noticeable difference in the growth rate of a male motoro to a female motoro? Has anyone noticed one growing faster than the other?
The reason I ask is my male has definitely put on a little size since I got him, but the female looks like she hasn't grown at all. I've had them for about 5 months now. The female was a little smaller than the male when I got them due to her being about 2 months younger. He is about 6-7" disk, and she is 4". They are both less than a year old. They both eat well, the female especially, she's a very aggressive eater, on massivore, market shrimp, tilapia, silversides, and live feeders (once in a great while). She's not skinny, she usually has a big butt from all the food she eats, and her tail is nice and thick, her behavior is normal, the tank parameters are all great, and she's not being bullied by any other fish.
Anyone have any ideas, similar experience, or is she just a slow grower?
