is there a sub category with motoros? or can they be just way different looking, like these 2? theyre both 12"-13", together for about 6 months in a 300g community, same diet, and ones male and ones female- thanks

There are different types of motoro for example

Chain link
blue spot
triple spot
marble( :) )

those both appear to be just the common orange spots the one on the right has a ton of spots and is very symmetrical so some would consider it to be of higher quality

I am not that picky I like any ray LOL

Like Johno27 said, there are a few different types of Motoro's. and like a few I have also, yours seem to be the common Motoro. the pictures I attached are of a couple I have, first is my female rt after I got her, second is my male that is now in with the same female I showed you in a larger tank....My female is about 9" now and my male is about 8" now.. But both are the common types just like yours. The spotting bepends on like Johno27 said, quality of the ray. could be from over breeding, cross breeding somewere in the lines at some point in time, but more likely over breeding of its parents... doesnt make it any less of a ray though.. still good looking couple
which one is your female?

thanks guys, I have to look up some of the variations now, just to know-
my female is on the left, she was verrry young when I got her about 16 months ago- she would only take worms until I got the male, in january this year, he was probably 2 or 3 months old, he was eating pellets when I got him, the day I brought him home she was too-
I couldnt see any clasper on him until this week, now 3 or 4 days later theyre really noticeable, big even- what age are they breedable? and how was it known he was a male without anything even resembling a clasper?
I thought Id throw in a pair of baby pictures too- looking back at these, her spots have changed alot from a pup, I didnt realize how much-
