Hi, I have been told that during mating the male bites at the females disc but this seems different, i have had them for about 10 months when they were only 4 inches disk size and now the female is about 12 inch while the male is 10 inch disk size, the male gets on top of the female and bites on the skin, there are wounds on my females body, is this normal behaviour or do i have to do something about this? and what?

Looks ok to me too. My advice would be to build a divider at this point and be ready to split them up if he does any serious damage in the future. A male can and will kill a female that isn't ready/willing to breed with him.

One question: is this male mature (have his claspers unrolled)?

this is the my first experience with rays so i am not sure if the claspers have unrolled but they certainly look like they have, attached is a pic for you to decide.Stingray 3.jpg

He looks to be mature or very close to mature. Great looking motoros by the way. They look healthy and their patters are very nice. The males pattern in particular I really like.

Thanks guys for the valuable feedback and liking my rays, i am hoping for some pups this springs, got my fingers crossed :)
