i have a female motoro of 9inch disc how big does the male have to be to go with her as been told the male as to be bigger.

You generally want the male to be smaller. Males have a tendency to beat up on the females as they reach sexual maturity. A smaller male makes the damage less severe.

As they grow, you can count on the female reaching 20" in disc diameter and the male staying slightly smaller (16" to 18").

go for the smallest male you can find

females do seam to grow a bit faster than males anyways
